I am working my first over night shift ever. I started working at the age 13, and never in a million years would I have imagined that I’d be still working at 59. I guess the biggest thing is that I am still employable, have a diverse resume, and feel even more vibrant than I did when I was younger. My life has been a hodgepodge of ups and downs. In the 80’s I was in my twenties and I used to party all night, then drag my hungover ass into work. Most times I made it in; however, there were times when I would still be high and would call in sick. The 80’s were indeed my introduction into a hedonistic lifestyle; however, by the time the 90’s hit I was a full blown alcoholic junkie, struggling to maintain a normal life.
